Tanya Davis is a mouthpiece for God; anointed to preach and teach the word of God to the nations. She is the founder of the Women’s EmpowHERment Movement, whose mission to model, mentor and empowHER women to live a fulfilled life in Christ according to the kingdom principles in the word of God. She mentors and promotes meaningful relationships in families and community; while supporting women in ministry and business. She encourages women to have Godly success with POISE and PURPOSE; POSITIONED as the virtuous women He created them to be.
She is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated with honors from Western High School in Baltimore City, holding the office of Vice President and organizer of the gospel choir. She received her early kingdom training in Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Walter Ellis Paige; where she served as Youth Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Women’s Ministry Leader, Mass Choir Director and Organist; yearly attending the Hampton Music Ministers Conference under the tutelage of the late Dr. Celia McLeod. She received intermediate musical training at New Shiloh School of Music under the late Dr. Victor Myric. As an active member of the United Baptist Missionary Convention of MD, Inc. she flourished in leading the Sunbeam Department, Young women’s division and state convention choir. She has been the administrative assistant to several pastors and led ministry teams over the DMV for over 20 years, teaching, mentoring, and prophesying as the spirit of God leads.
Prophetess Davis loves doing ministry alongside her husband, Elder George Davis, Jr, who is the founding Pastor of The Well Church in Maryland. They are the proud parents of DaShonte, Taniyah, Quentin and Jada. She wholeheartedly yields herself to the will of God in her life through the scripture in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Educational Leader and Community Advocate…
Through her methodology of rigorous teaching strategies, Mrs. Davis has exemplified exceptional instructional leadership in some of the highest performing school systems in the nation. Through her participation in numerous professional development events, Mrs. Davis has demonstrated professional growth and has been recognized by her community as Teacher of the Year in 2022. Student families and community members nominated her for her relational teaching style and commendable commitment to the local school. For her local county and state civic dedication to community advocacy, she was nominated and selected to be apart of the Leadership Baltimore County 2023-2024 cohort program in 2023.
Over the past thirteen years, Mrs. Davis has developed an etiquette program for female students that emphasizes the overall presentation of young ladies in school, as well as mentoring them on how to perform and follow-through with work assignments as well as build positive relationships with peers and teachers. Her experience as an educator includes roles as a classroom teacher, department chair, and lower school administrator. In addition to serving on the Math Committee, she is the chair of the annual math extravaganza, in which the community is involved in games, strategies, and simulations of real-life mathematical scenarios in order to apply mathematical skills. By coordinating meetings with district facilities staff along with the current school administration, she has demonstrated her commitment to continued operational leadership by assisting teachers with the transition to the new building facility of Summit Park, a $40 million dollar project. As an additional contribution to her professional career, she is the CEO of a nonprofit organization that promotes mental health awareness, financial literacy, and education. Tutoring and empowerment sessions are provided to over 25 families on a weekly basis.
Ms. Davis received a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership in 2023. As part of her continuous commitment to professional development, she is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Grand Canyon University, with a focus on organizational leadership. It is Mrs. Davis' intention to conduct qualitative research and collect data in order to understand the perspectives and experiences of families impacted by the absence of such relational support.
